As for the leadership styles of Babar Azam and Shan Masood, Pakistan’s all-rounder Aamer Jamal has noticed some remarkable dissimilarities.

He is 28 years old and he has played under both of them. His international cricket debut was made during the home T20I series against England in 2022, led by Babar Azam. In 2023, he debuted in test matches under captaincy of Shan Masood in Australia’s tour.

Jamal was interviewed recently on a local sports platform about captains’ methods that Babar and Masood used.

He gave an interesting observation as he had been under them. Notably, he remarked that two players have different outlooks on cricket and also mentioned good relationships with both.

Additionally, while discussing his team’s captains, he pointed out that Babar is more defensive-minded compared to Masood who prefers to go forward aggressively. That is why Jamal concluded his speech with these words: “Nevertheless, they have different ways though I know both very well.”

According to Jamal; “When it comes to captaincy they have their own different mindsets. The approach of Shan Bhai is different from that Bobby Bhai.” “I am close to both,” said Jamal.

“They are both captains who understand you and would like to know your interests and what you need,” he added.

Jamal has played in three Test matches, scoring 143 runs and taking 18 wickets, including two five-wicket hauls.
