Former Indian captain Virat Kohli has shared insights into his retirement plans, giving fans a glimpse of what’s next after his remarkable cricket career.
Speaking at the RCB’s Royal Gala Dinner, Kohli reflected on his future with a thoughtful approach. “As a sportsman, our careers do have an end date. I’m working backward from that point. I don’t want to end my career thinking, ‘What if I had done this?’ because I can’t go on forever. It’s about leaving no unfinished business and having no regrets, which I believe I won’t,” Kohli said.
Kohli stressed the importance of ensuring he leaves no stone unturned during his remaining time in cricket, aiming to finish without any lingering doubts or regrets.
He also mentioned his plans post-retirement, emphasizing the need for a substantial break to spend quality time with his family before moving on to the next chapter of his life. “Once I retire, I will take a significant break. You won’t see me for a while. Until then, I want to give my all to the game, and that’s what keeps me motivated,” he concluded.
